Error Message

Attempts to configure ArcGIS Web Adaptor (IIS) 11.1 with an ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1 deployment fail, and return one of the following error messages:

Error:   
ArcGIS Web Adaptor (IIS) 11.1 requires Microsoft Web Deploy 3.6 or higher. Please see the Installation Guide for more information.

Error:
ArcGIS Web Adaptor (IIS) 11.1 requires ASP.NET Core Runtime - Windows Hosting Bundle 6.x. Please see the Installation Guide for more information.

Cause

The machine installed with ArcGIS Web Adaptor (IIS) 11.1 does not meet the prerequisites for the setup configuration. Microsoft Web Deploy 3.6 and ASP.NET Core Runtime - Windows Hosting Bundle 6.x are new prerequisites introduced with ArcGIS Web Adaptor (IIS) 11.1.

Solution or Workaround

Depending on the error message displayed, install the necessary prerequisites on the machine before configuring ArcGIS Web Adaptor (IIS) 11.1 with ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1.
