Also known as a true orthoimage. An orthorectified image that has had the geometric distortions typically caused by perspective distortion removed through the application of a digital surface model (DSM) and highly overlapping nadir imagery (80/80 forward and lateral overlap). In the resulting orthoimage, buildings appear directly above their footprints with no building lean. A true orthoimage can be used in place of a planimetric map for positioning and measurements.
