  1. [photogrammetry] In imagery, a polygon or polyline defining the boundary between adjoining images (raster datasets) in an image mosaic. Overlapping raster datasets can be blended and color balanced along the seamline by a specified width.
  2. [ESRI software] In ArcGIS Image Server, a polygon that defines the mosaic boundary of the raster dataset used in an image service. Overlapping raster datasets can be blended along the seamline by a specified width. Seamlines are created with the Seamline extension tools, and are stored as shapefiles within the image service definition.
