Acronym for Quasi-Zenith Satellite System. A regional navigation satellite system (RNSS) and a satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS) compatible with the United States' GPS. Used for positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) in the Asia-Oceania region with a focus on Japan. Developed and operated by the Japanese government.
