Acronym for Multi-functional Satellite Augmentation System. A satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS) that uses differential correction to supplement the reliability and accuracy of signals from the GPS system in the Japanese region. MSAS was developed and is operated by Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB).
