解决办法

1. If I copy the existing landline feature dataset into the same sde instance, edit and validate the topology, the problem has gone.User also invented his own workaround:- Creating a new dirty area over the false topology error and revalidating it works with about a 95% success rate. (see attached false_err_workaround.doc)
