When using the Import 3D Files tool with the file format .OBJ as the input, the output is located in incorrect position even though the input coordinate system is correct.
Although spatial reference is assigned when importing a 3D model, most of the models use local coordinate/extent. GeoVRML is the only format that has a defined coordinate system. Many 3D models are generated using local coordinate systems that center the XYZ axis on 0, 0, 0. Such features can be georeferenced to real-world coordinates using one of the following methods.
