When modifying metadata in ArcGIS Online specifically for fields where domains have been specified, the fields domain split policy gets returned to Default.

解决办法
As a workaround, update the layer definition using the Admin API to update the splitPolicy and set it to either 'esriSPTDefaultValue' or 'esriSPTDuplicate'.
