When labeling a donut polygon with the Maplex Labeling Engine, the Label setting from ArcGIS Desktop 9.1 doesn't work in ArcGIS Desktop 9.2, such as the "Label position" setting of "Boundary" doesn't make labels follow the edges of polygons.

解决办法
I suggested user to do these workarounds:-> Apply the latest Service Pack 2 for 9.2-> Save As the old map file in 9.2-> Zoom in data to another scale-> Under maplex check Fast vs Best-> Delete normal.mxt-> Use mxd doctorThe workarounds were not working. I could reproduce the issue in a new 9.2 map using ESRI data. Steps to reproduce:1. Create a new map in ArcMap 9.22. Set Data Frame Properties -> General tab -> Label Engine -> ESRI Maplex Label Engine3. Add a point layer such as a cities point shapefile4. Use Multiple Ring Buffer tool to create a new shapefile, set Distances such as 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1 if Unit is using Defalut (in sample data is DecimalDegrees), Dissolve ALL5. Set label features, Place label position as Boundary6. There are no labels shown at all any where around the polygon border- Other Label Positions also get problems, such as Stright, Curved, and Horizontal. Only Offset Horizontal is OK.In 9.1, I can get the "Label position" setting of "Boundary" to make labels follow the edges of polygons.I also found the newly created bufferred shapefiles changing size from 9.1 to 9.2, even what I did were exactly the same things between 9.1 and 9.2, same data, same steps, same tools, and same settings, I got a much larger file size (in both map file and shapefile) from 9.2 than from 9.1 (78MB vs 13MB in shapefiles).
