When creating custom script tools, def initializeParameters(self) does not work to categorize tool parameters in the geoprocessing pane.

Setting the Category in the Tool Validation script is a legacy workflow for .tbx toolboxes. With .atbx toolboxes the Category can only be set from the Parameters pane of the Script dialog and is Read-Only within the Tool Validation script.解决办法
Categories can be set in the Parameter tab.
