This is more of an application-level issue and not directly specific to ArcGIS API for JavaScript. The actual function is running as expected. The memory will go up in an app like this as there is a considerable amount of lines and identifying must be implemented using fewer vertices.解决办法
Use ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.18 or larger numbers in maxSegmentLength.
