The Near Me widget in ArcGIS Web AppBuilder does not return results unless the Layer List widget is configured to have layers visible. It provides the results while returning the following warning message, "Check search source layer's visibility in the Layer List widget to view the results" when the layer is disabled but a point location is clicked within the polygon layer's (invisible) boundaries.
