解决办法
don1760 - 1/29/09The problem is not with Browser For Folder dialog used by the ArcGIS Snippet Finder. The issue is with the settings on the computer being able to display 'Hidden Folders' in the Windows Operating System. The %APPDATA% environment variable is as follows for a typical Windows configuration:Windows XP:C:\Documents and Settings\<user login>\Application DataWindows Vista:C:\Users\<user login>\AppData\RoamingIf the user does not have the ability to see 'Hidden Folders' when they use the Browse For Folder dialog they may only be able to traverse the hirearchy of nodes to:Windows XP:C:\Documents and Settings\<user login>Windows Vista:C:\Users\<user login>In order to see all of the directories on your hard drive, including the full path for the %APPDATA% environment variable, you need to open the Control Panel in the Windows Operating System. If you are using Windows Vista make sure you are viewing the Control Panel in the Classic View. In the Control Panel double click the Folder Options icon. When the the Folder Options dialog opens click on the View tab. Navigate through the Advanced Settings listbox and check on the radio button option for: Show hidden files and folders. Then click Apply and close the Folder Options dialog. The next time you go to use the Browse For Folders dialog in the ArcGIS Snippet Editor to change the location where to write ArcGIS Snippets, you will be able to see the complete folder hierarchy for the %APPDATA% environment variable.Note: Attaching some screen shots that may be useful is this information is added to the documentation in the future.
