Service Editor in ArcCatalog does not update or show the selected capability under the Capabilities section when a REST server object extension (SOE) is activated in a map service.

解决办法

After the failed attempt (for example, the REST SOE does not show in the capabilities section.) Click OK on Service Editor.

1. In ArcCatalog, right-click the same map service again.
2. Select Service Properties, then select the capabilities section in the left pane and the REST SOE is shown under the capabilities.
