Search by layer with the contains method does not return expected results in Map Viewer and Map Viewer Classic if the map uses a string field with a length greater than 4000 as the search source.

This is a known limitation with the full-text index building on the backend. An index cannot be built on fields with a length of more than 4000. The change is the search that uses WHERE and starts with a based query because no index exists on the field. If an index exists, it searches the terms that make up the rows with a prefix-based search.解决办法
Remove any fields with a length of more than 4000 from the web maps Search by layer sources.
Alternatively, create a field with a length less than 4000, calculate the attributes from the existing field (that is longer than 4000), and use this new field as the search source for the web map's Search by layer.
