Map Viewer Classic is a 3.x ArcGIS API for JavaScript apps that do not support group layers. Map Viewer supports group layers but this is just at the map level. When publishing a hosted feature layer online, the group layers are not carried over because the feature layers do not support group layers.

解决办法

Manually add each layer into a new group in Map Viewer. However, this workflow is not feasible with hundreds of layers in the ArcGIS Online organization.
