In ArcGIS Online, using the '<' or '>' signs in the description of the Metadata for all items removes everything after and before the symbols respectively in Description and Metadata.

• In the description of Metadata, when '>' is replaced by '&gt;'

Input: Test1 &gt; Test2

The output includes ‘>’. For example, Test1 > Test2.

• In the description of Metadata, when '<' is replaced by '&lt;'

Input: Test1 &lt; Test2

The output includes ‘<’. For example, Test1 < Test2.
