From ArcGIS REST API 10.3, Esri supports pagination in a query layer. Use the resultOffset and resultRecordCount parameters to page through a query result. When returning a large size of vertices within geometry, the user's client side should utilize those two parameters to wisely to send requests to return reasonable size depend on their performance level.
