Per the documentation, the output_name can be a string or feature layer, not item. Per the documentation, the output_name can be a string or feature layer, not item. Refer to the documentation for more information. The reason it cannot be an Item is because an Item can be composed of multiple layers. When trying to overwrite the layers, it would not know what layer to overwrite.
