Erro

When running the ArcSDE for Oracle post installer and selecting an option for the Default storage type, the message "There was an error upgrading the geometry type" is shown after what looks like a successful repository setup.

Solução Provisória

Re-run the post installer without the repository setup to get to the license authorization and service creation etc. For other new installs, you can just not choose an option for the default storage and it will not report the error.
