This is a known limitation respectively a missing feature. SceneLayers with mesh geometry currently do not offer support for defaultSymbols and display unmatching 'Other' features with a generic symbol even if it is null. To remove the 'Other' features from the scene and legend, filter the features out by defining a filter using the options offered for layer properties in Scene Viewer.
