TrueCurve geometry polygon features in a map service cause the GeoJSON-output REST query to fail, but HTML or JSON-output queries succeed.

In ArcMap, run the Densify or the Simplify Polygon tool on the feature layer to "remove" the TrueCurve geometry, then publish the service to make the GeoJSON-output queries succeed.
