Select by location fails in a full extent when true curves exist in ArcSDE.

Solução Provisória

1. The only way that allow user to perform select by location is to export the SDE/pgdb feature class to shapefile and use the Intergrate tool on the shapefile. Thereafter, user is able to run the spatial query.or 2. Zoom in to the true curve and perform select by location.
