PatchFinder93.exe only works correctly when run under an Administrator account. The Help > About dialog box within ArcMap and ArcCatalog also do not show that the service pack was applied unless logged in as an Administrator.When run under a non-Administrator account, PatchFinder93.exe reports that no ArcGIS 9.3 products are installed. This was not the case with ServicePackFinder92.exe. It also does not write a servicepack.txt log file as the instructions say it will. And it does not work if the installation was deployed using the following command: msiexec /a <location of ArcGIS admin installation>\setup.msi /p <location of ArcGIS service pack>\<patchname>.msp

Use Desktop Administrator instead of PatchFinder93.exe to view which products/versions are installed.
