Erro
In ArcGIS Pro, accessing an Excel file in the Catalog pane returns the error message, "Error: Exception of type 'ArcGIS.Desktop.Core.Geoprocessing.GPItemException' was thrown" if the Excel file is already used in a layer joined in the same project and if the map containing the layer is open.

Solução Provisória
- Add the Excel file's table as table view to the map by right-clicking the table and selecting 'Add To Current Map'.
- Use the table view instead of the Excel file for the join.
