This issue is no longer reproducible in ArcGIS Pro 2.5.

Solução Provisória

Use the Project Raster tool to re-project the raster to WGS 1984 World Mercator, and re-project the new layer back to British National Grid. As a result, the issue does not occur on the re-projected and original raster. The issue may or may not occur if further analysis or edit is done on the original raster. For example, toggling on and off the visibility of the raster causes the issue to re-occur.
