To have a member in ArcGIS Online with a Viewer user type and Viewer role, perform either one of the following workarounds:
- To have a member with the Viewer user type and role, the Administrator of the ArcGIS Online Organization must create a new member. When configuring the member, select 'Group' in the Start Home Page setting. Once the member is created, the Start Home Page setting cannot be changed to Group, as the Group option does not exist.
- If the member in ArcGIS Online does not need to have a Viewer user type and role, change the member user type to Creator, and the role to Administrator.
