When editing in ArcGIS Pro, the construct tools such as the Merge, Buffer, and Construct Polygons tools become unresponsive if the edited layer is symbolized with unique values and has several hundreds of unique symbol classes, as these result in several hundreds of feature templates. The same workflow has a good performance with ArcMap.
