When a feature class is moved to a different feature dataset in the same file geodatabase, map document layers that reference the feature class do not break as expected.

参考情報

The Geodatabase opens tables\feature classes at the workspace level. Having the class moved from one container to another does not break the reference to the class and therefore the layer is not broken. Tech support has been notified of the layer metadata update issue this workflow potentially causes.
