This is an "As Designed" feature . Generally cache creation take a long time and we want to shield users from accidentally deleting the cache data if the cache service is deleted. These users can re-publish a service with same name,so that the associated cache can be used. Please use the following steps to modify pre-existing cache on a server cache directory: 1. Publish the service with the pre-existing cache associated with it 2. Delete the cache data using the "DeleteMapServerCache" tool in the Server toolbox > Caching toolset 3. Redefine the cache schema using the updated scales and cache configuration対処法
