The default output file name is invalid when an ArcSDE geodatabase item is dropped onto a metadata tool from a database connection accessed from the Database Connections folder.

Right-click the database connection in the Database Connections folder and click Copy. Right-click a local folder and click Paste. Repeat the unsuccessful operation with the same data accessed from the database connection in the local folder instead of from the Database Connections folder.再現の手順
