Most of the appender logfile settings are beneath a section titled # Rolling file appender, but some are included beneath #OSGi appender. The following are the code blocks that must be edited to update the default max file size or to specify that more message log files be kept.

# Rolling file appender

log4j2.appender.rolling.policies.size.size = 16MB

# OSGi appender

log4j2.appender.rolling.strategy.max=10
