When a field map file is created with a layer outside of a group layer, it saves the layer name (e.g., 'Shipwrecks') in the field map string. If the layer is later moved to a group layer, the saved field map is reset because the new name (e.g., 'New Group Layer/Shipwrecks') does not match the original. To work around this, open the field map file in a text editor and manually update the layer name to match the new structure. For example, change 'Shipwrecks' to 'New Group Layer/Shipwrecks' to ensure the field map is recognized.
