Deleting fields when working in a table view is considerably slower than deleting fields with the Delete Field tool.

Unfortunately this bug is a known limitation. When you delete fields in the fields view, the Delete Field geoprocessing tool is called one time for each field (so, in your example, 20 times). When you delete fields directly in the tool, the tool is called only once and the fields are iterated. This is why there is such a performance difference.再現の手順
