This behavior is resolved with the new Pro-based print service introduced with ArcGIS Server 10.6. For custom print services, please ensure that they are created and published using ArcGIS Pro. If similar issues are encountered when using Pro-based print services on ArcGIS Server 10.6, you should contact Esri Support Services to log a new bug.
