When using a layer to search item that is not in the web map, the Search widget in ArcGIS Web AppBuilder only displays results starting with the text written in the search string/field.

Solution de contournement

• Add the layer in question to the web map that is feeding to the web app. Save the map and configure the map settings to search by the layer with the Contains option selected. Save these settings. Confirm that users can search using any of the words in the field in the web app. Remove the layer from the web map. Try the search in the web app again. This seems to save the settings despite the settings no longer being present.
• Use ArcGIS Experience Builder instead of ArcGIS Web AppBuilder.
