When used outside of ArcGIS Pro, the ApplySymbologyFromLayer function in Python does not apply symbology to the ArcGIS Pro project, and returns the following error message, "Error 00968: The symbol layer does not match the input layer."

Solution de contournement

Using the geoprocessing tool returns the desired results. However, if there are multiple .lyrx files that need to be processed, manually applying symbology from a different layer can be taxing and time-consuming.
