When trying to Mosaic a 4-band image with 3-band images in a personal (PGDB) or SDE geodatabase will fail to execute.

Use ArcToolbox > Data Management Tools > Raster > Mosaic to New Raster > choose 3 bands (4 bands will fail to execute).Or, use ArcToolbox > Data Management Tools > Raster > Composite Bands > choose 3 bands of the 4 band image for the input rasters.
