Bogue

When editing attribute values that were entered prior to applying a domain to the field, if the value previously entered matches the domain code/description, the only way to apply the domain value in the Attributes editing window is to change it to a different value and then change it back. In the attribute table, simply selecting the highlighted value is sufficient to apply the domain value to the cell.
