When adding an ArcGIS Online hosted feature layer that has a text field named 'Go' into ArcMap, the field name of 'Go' is renamed 'Go_'.

This sort of sounds like it could be a case where http://edndoc.esri.com/arcobjects/9.2/ComponentHelp/esriGeoDatabase/IFieldChecker.htm doesnt have both the input and the validate workspace set. And therefore chooses something more restrictive to be “safe”. At this time, we do not plan to address this.
