When creating applications that include the use of frameworks and module bundlers, such as Angular and React, the recommended approach is to use @arcgis/map-components or @arcgis/core ES modules. ES modules are natively supported by frameworks and module bundlers. More information can be found in the SDK's guide topic on Getting started with npm. Refer to this documentation https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/get-started-npm/ for more information. More clarification are added in the SDK documentation that this is the recommended approach.
