Unable to edit the attributes in the event layers created using the ‘Make XY Event Layer’ tool in ArcGIS Pro.

This is expected behavior. Text files are not editable even if they participate in an XY event layer. A layer without an OBJECTID cannot be edited. Refer to the help documentation here: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/tool-reference/data-management/make-xy-event-layer.htm. This behavior is blocked in ArcMap, it is not possible to create an XY event layer from a .csv file. The solution is to either: 1. Create a file geodatabase standalone table from the .csv file, and make an event layer from the new table. 2. Use the 'XY to Point' geoprocessing tool to create a feature class from the .csv file.
