Bogue
The thumbnail applied to a group layer's metadata is not maintained after creating a layer package from the group layer.

- Share the layer package. Once the package is created, extract the .lpkx file to a new folder.
- Navigate into the esriinfo folder. Open the thumbnail folder, and delete the thumbnail.png in it.
- Copy and paste the desired image into the folder, and name it thumbnail.png. It must have that name and it must be a png - this does not work for jpgs.
- Navigate to the directory that contains the esriinfo folder and other content files (p12, p20, etc.). Highlight all the folders, and send them to a compressed folder.
- Rename the compressed folder to a desired name, and change the file extension from zip to lpkx.
