Informations supplémentaires

Since the Tailscale application creates a second network interface card (NIC) for VPN access, ArcGIS Server needs to be configured to use the hostname properties file to utilize the correct second network interface card (NIC) and IP address. This allows the service to start successfully. This is fully supported in ArcGIS Server 10.8.1, refer to https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/server/10.8/deploy/windows/multiple-nic-cards-dns-entries.htm for more information.

Solution de contournement

Follow the documentation to configure ArcGIS Server in an environment with multiple network interface cards (NIC). This allows ArcGIS Server to use the correct IP address at start-up. Refer to https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/server/10.8/deploy/windows/multiple-nic-cards-dns-entries.htm for more information. The issue only happens if the Tailscale application is running during a reboot or restart of the ArcGIS Server (Windows) service or machine. To keep the ArcGIS Server (Windows) service started:

  1. Before restarting the ArcGIS Server (Windows) service or rebooting the machine, stop the Tailscale Windows service and set the service to manually start.
  2. Once the ArcGIS Server is fully up and running, start the Tailscale Window service. The ArcGIS Server (Windows) service stays running.
