The symbology for the alphabetical and numerical pointer for a point layer symbology in ArcGIS Online is not located in the center of the point layer in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer.

This is not a hosted services issue. It is how the point symbols are designed and published. Users can now create their own symbol sets and publish them to ArcGIS Online and use the symbol sets in Map Viewer where users can define the anchor points prior to publishing.
