Subtypes are not copied to the new feature class when importing fields from an existing feature class.

The Subtype definition is not part of the field set of a class, it it class level business logic that explains how like type rows can be stored in a single table, and have different validation (domains) and default values per Subtype. The listed workaround maintain this information because they are transferring the table itself. Additionally geodatabase copy paste (accessed via the context menu > Copy) will maintain all associated business logic assigned on a table.Solution de contournement
