Selecting an annotation feature will disable editing of vertices in the Edit Sketch Properties window.

Solution de contournement

Work-around for case where annotation had "follow-feature" option was to turn off follow-feature option, set curvature to either horizontal or straight, then reset curvature to curved, which gives the anno 2 vertices which can then be modified.
