Informations supplémentaires
The behavior described for searching AGOL from ArcGIS Pro is the same behavior as for searching AGOL from the Home app, i.e. when you access arcgis.com from a web browser. When the phrase pictured in the screenshots is issued in the browser's search, you get a similar message "No items found that meet your criteria. Try clearing some filters to show more items." Since ArcGIS Pro works in the same manner as the AGOL Home application, Pro is working correctly, and this is not a bug.
Please look at the ArcGIS Online Help topic "Browse and search content" for more information. The information relevant to this problem can be found in the Advanced search section: http://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/reference/search.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_18FD99A1020547BA864FCEBECBE267F3. The colon has a special meaning when you search the portal. If it is used with search keywords it will behave as if you are trying to search a specific field, or apply a filter to your search results. For example, if you only wanted to search for a specific keyword in the title of items on the portal (vs. anywhere in any indexed content describing the item) you specify that using a colon like this:
title: keyword
The phrase that was used to searching with this issue, as pictured in the provided screenshots is:
terrain: elevation tinted hillshade
This will end be interpreted by AGOL as if you are trying to filter your search results based on values in a field named "terrain", which doesn't exist in the portal's index, so you get no results. If instead you want to search for a phrase that includes a colon, e.g. the title of an item you know exists, the entire phrase should be enclosed in quotation marks, like this:
"terrain: elevation tinted hillshade"
This is the text that is specified in the steps, and which works successfully. With this phrase the user will find what they are looking for in both ArcGIS Pro and in the AGOL browser application.
