- Use ArcGIS Pro, 3.2 or earlier version, or
- Use the KML To Layer tool
- Run the KML To Layer tool on the KML or KMZ polygons to convert to a feature class.
- Run the Intersect (Analysis) tool with the point feature class and the output feature class from KML To Layer.
The Intersect (Analysis) tool runs without issues.
