Raster functions in the ArcMap 10.8 Extract Band function do not honor 'Type: Item Group' in the raster function template properties.

ArcGIS Desktop (including ArcGIS Engine and ArcObjects) is in mature support and will be retired March 1, 2026. Mature support means the end of functionality-based patches and hotfixes; therefore, this issue will not be addressed. Use individual raster layers (from mosaic or rasters) instead of the grouped item type in a mosaic. However, if the workflow is dependent on the previous raster functions services based on 'Item Group', the workaround is not viable.
